Waffles

Recipe compliments of Great-Aunt Gertrude – 1947

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 eggs, separated
1¼ cup milk
6 tablespoons melted butter

  • Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
  • In separate bowl, combine egg yolks, milk and butter.
  • Add flour mixture gradually.
  • Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  • Cook in waffle iron.

Makes 6 waffles.
